"On the daily"

Does this strike anyone else as an unusual thing to say?

Why not just "every day" or "all the time" or "regularly"?

Yeah it shows up in online slang dictionaries…

How common is it to say that? I had never heard it until today and it seems out of character for Q.

(Not saying it is not Q, saying it seems like there is more behind that specific phrase.)

Three possibilities (but really only two):

– graffiti is ruled out. The Ws are all uniform, and so are the Gs. It's a font that's supposed to look like graffiti.

– someone bought an ad to go in a bus shelter — this has happened before but usually it's been highway billboards.

– it's shopped.
