Fake targets are deployed by the defender as a measure to enhance system survivability in the case of intentional attack by the destroyer. A defender deploys a genuine object and multiple fake targets to divert the attacker. The defender allocates his resources between defending the genuine object and investing in counter-intelligence to ensure that the attacker cannot distinguish the fake targets from the genuine object. This can be defined using a model which assumes that the attacker and the defender have limited resources and possess complete information about each other's efforts. The defender has deployed one genuine target and N fake targets, and the total attacker's resource is R. The cost of the attack effort unit is A. When the intelligence contest intensity is low, the outcome of the intelligence contest slightly depends on the agents' intelligence/counter-intelligence effort ratio.
