I think the FOX article is right about who RR was talking to, but I think RR was just setting up the DS at that point.
Once RR understood McCabe's plan he then installed Mueller to take over all the FBI investigations
Otherwise POTUS would have made him jump from AF1
RR set McCabe up.
Then hired Mueller to take control of the “insurance” McCabe was working.
That explains RR’s testimony and POTUS allowing him to stay on.
