Tillerson never liked Trump from the get-go. Bad-mouthed him too much.

Price - no pro-Trump patriot is going to taint the POTUS with the private jet for gov business scandal.

Kelly - let's call it a clash of egos; Trump will win that battle. Remember, Kelly was head of Homeland Security first. Perhaps POTUS caught a hint that Kelly wasn't on his side. Trump moves him to Chief of Staff. Daily briefings. Keep your enemies close.
Its not necessarily that Whitaker took them out. If what RR is saying is true, word could've very easily got to Trump through his loyal sources and he got rid of them. Remember, Trump ain't stupid and he's not operating in the dark. He has loyal minions….hence, Q!
