Exactly. My grandmother was a "housewife". Never worked a day in her life, my grandpa took care of her and their 7 children himself.

and they lived very well. (and she was SO spoiled, she had a maid! They were middle class but lived in a very big house).

I always envied her…..she had such a wonderful life. NOT because she didn't have to work but because she REALLY got to be there to tend house, cook real meals, be there when the kids got home…..that woman never seemed stressed or nervous a day in her life.

One of my biggest regrets was I HAD to work and missed those years with the kids.

I am only able to make big homestyle meals on weekends (if I am not too tired).

And I will not even begin to talk about what the sress of working in corporate America does to you mentally, physically and emotionally.
