Concerned Citizen Contacts New Attorney General about Obama’s “Usurpation” (Robert Laity)

"This Matter Is Now in Your Hands"

(Feb. 16, 2019) — On Friday, reader, Navy veteran and presidential eligibility activist Robert Laity informed us that he sent a letter to newly-installed U.S. Attorney General William P. Barr regarding his contention that Barack Hussein Obama II “usurped” the office of the presidency due to his constitutional ineligibility.

Barr, 68, was confirmed on Thursday in a 54-45 vote in the U.S. Senate.

In his February 15, 2019 communication to Barr, Laity enclosed a copy of a letter sent by certified mail to President Donald Trump, then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford in April 2017 outlining his concerns.

“The matter is now in your hands,” Laity wrote to Barr. “I trust that you will investigate this matter. I await your response.”

It was Trump who in early 2011 openly aired his doubts as to Obama’s eligibility based on the White House’s failure to release a “long-form” birth certificate to prove that Obama was born in Hawaii, as he has claimed. In June 2008, a “short-form” Certification of Life Birth was released by an unconfirmed party, later said to have been Tommy Vietor, then a member of Obama’s campaign. The image’s authenticity was immediately questioned for several reasons, and the Hawaii Department of Health (HDOH) never confirmed that it produced the document represented by the image.

US Military Faces Challenges in Countering Adversaries’ Psychological Operations

The U.S. military needs to upgrade its psychological operations as adversaries take advantage of cyberspace to ramp up psychological warfare on the United States. Yet the military faces a difficult landscape to up its game, based on remarks by several current and former Special Operations officers.

“We need to move beyond our 20th century approach to messaging and start looking at influence as an integral aspect of modern irregular warfare,” said Andrew Knaggs, former Green Beret and now the deputy assistant defense secretary for special operations and combating terrorism, at a Feb. 5 defense industry symposium, the Military Times reported.

What used to be called psychological operations, or psy-ops, is now called Military Information Support Operations or MISOs.

In fiscal 2018, the military spent over $160 million on MISOs, described as “operations to convey selected information and indicators to foreign audiences to influence their emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of foreign governments, organizations, groups, and individuals,” in a budget report by the Defense Department Comptroller (pdf).

The active-duty psy-op groups had about 1,050 officers, Maj. Gen. Christopher Haas of the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) told Congress in 2015 (pdf).
