All of them, including who got Smollett to get the Nigerians. Anyone who has watched the dims in Congress knows that 2/3 are literally 80 IQ, and 100% are asswipes. Everyone involved in this idiotic & evil scheme thought it would work. Their minds are just that shallow, and their egos tower above them as they convince themselves that they are trailing clouds of glory.
Consider that the idiot brothers allegedly did it for 2 grand each. That's right, for a mere 20 Franklins, each risked it all. So yeah, they thought they were bulletproof. Obviously they knew zero about the state of surveillance or investigative techniques today, but even if they had, they were likely told, "No sweat, piece of cake, an easy gig." That goes along with worshiping the physical, the body, and preening with it.
