Iranian Leader uses Twitter to call again for murdering author. Tweet was hidden then deleted, but the account was not suspended. [must not own a MAGA hat]

Khamenei tweeted to his 550,000 followers, recalling a 1989 death threat made by Ayatollah Khomeini against Salman Rushdie for the author’s book The Satanic Verses.

Note that it was 30 years ago when Ayatollah Khomeini put a fatwa on the head of Salman Rushdie and anyone involved in publishing his book. At least 22 people were killed at the time, and Rushdie went into hiding.

According to the tweet from @khamenei_ir, the Iranian leader said Rushdie’s death was mandated by God and was therefore irreversible.

Times haven't changed much in Iran apparently. I can see why Obama liked them so much.

SAN FRANCISCO — Businesses and government agencies in the United States have been targeted in aggressive attacks by Iranian and Chinese hackers who security experts believe have been energized by President Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal last year and his trade conflicts with China.

Recent Iranian attacks on American banks, businesses and government agencies have been more extensive than previously reported. Dozens of corporations and multiple United States agencies have been hit, according to seven people briefed on the episodes who were not authorized to discuss them publicly.

"The damage done is colossal, radiating outwards, found treasure for other nations in alleged intel cahoots with Iran; possibly, it has been speculated, leading to the compromising of some 30 agents recruited by the CIA in China who have been imprisoned or killed since 2010 following hacker penetration of the agency's communications system."

Prior to her arrest, Hashemi was in the US filming a documentary about Black Lives Matter. Little was known about the reason for her arrest until a judge unsealed Hashemi’s federal court order, revealing she was arrested to be deposed as a material witness in an unspecified criminal case.
