Anyone watching season 3 of True Detective?

It seems like they've been moving the plot to powerful people abusing children.

One of characters in the show is a woman making a documentary about the case the detectives were working on involving several missing children. She brought up the franklin scandal and showed the Washington Times article. In the most recent episode she mentioned the pedo swirl symbol.
