>New Thread Announcement - Information Warfare
>To counter a Big Lie like this, we need both an understanding of what makes the Lie "stick" and how we can help people break free of it. So knowing the techniques used to deceive people is an important first step. But so is understanding why these techniques work.
Even though don't think the author gets it and is falling into the trap the Left wants us to fall into, the below article highlights a great example of how the Big Lie works.

False equivalence: "Chicago has a deep dark racist history, so if I don't believe Jussie's story, I dishonor all past victims of racial injustice."
Of course, the WaPo writer conveniently forgets that Chicago has been a Democratic/Communist stronghold since the 1920s at least.
Also, "If Jussie's story turns out to be a hoax, it will damage the credibility of all future victims."
Possible, but if so, who is responsible for that? Wouldn't happen to be Jussie and those pushing his narrative without evidence would it?
