I think that to attack Trump's inner circle, like Hope Hicks and Jared Kushner, the bad guys have to give up cover.
That is, the security clearence downgrades and/or the testimony (I think with Hicks) had to come from a definite, identifiable source to be credible.
It exposes (shines the light on) who the bad guys inside government really are, so it might be the bad guys are down to their last bullets.
A testimony to how good Hope and Jared really are, too. I think, too, since Hope is female and young (still under 30?) and Jared relatively young guy with 3 kids, that they will be withdrawn to safer areas. Have to figure that Hope, have been everywhere with Trump since the very start, is pretty close to daughter level and regarded in the same way as Jared.
Stephen Miller is single AFAIK, so he's probably in for the duration. Dan Scavino probably is too, although I think he's married. He's known Trump since he was a teenager (golf caddy).
