"Beckley Mayor Rob Rappold joined 11 other mayors in signing a letter asking Senate Republican leadership to support LGBT rights legislation.
In an open letter dated Jan. 31, the mayors asked Senate President Mitch Carmichael, R-Jackson; Senate Majority Leader Tom Takubo, R-Kanawha, and Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles Trump, R-Morgan “to take up" Senate Bill 391, which they said "would make the kind of inclusivity found in our towns and cities available to every West Virginia resident.”"
