I don't know about that. My husband and I were both virgins when we married (TMI but hear me out). Our son strongly resembled my mother's side of the family when he was a baby–I have a picture of him at a few months and a picture of me at the same age and we look identical.
He is in his teens now and as he's gotten older he's started to resemble my husband–his father–more and more.
