Many years ago as we were building our home and with virtually no experience with shrubbery or gardening we hired a landscaper to teach and help us pick out plants and such that would accentuate the way our grounds were layed out.

I remember one thing he told us that has stood the test of time.

His words, “the biggest problem the average person has with landscaping is they Try Too Hard”.

Through the years I’ve used and followed that advise in so many more things than I can recall.

It does not matter what subject you apply those words to but I’ve always understood the wisdomof them, and tried hard to use them when dealing with aesthetics and appearance when doing any new project.

When I saw this pic of Mike O that old landscapers words came to mind immediately.

In my opinion pic related fits the wisdome he shared that day.

If ever there was a case of trying too hard this pic shouts those words from the highest hilltop.

The lib/left seem to be stuck and daily prove his words to be oh so true.

The phrase, “it’s like putting lipstick on a Pig” also came to mind.
