Based on his background, and what he is doing now, it sounds to me like Harvey and Flynn were running a sting operation.

He was fired by McMaster.

Now he is working for Nunes.

Supposed whistleblowers trying to take him down.

This place is devolving into a chat board, ignoring some pretty huge news drops today.

Perhaps this is related to why Derek Harvey is now working for Nunes, and the 'whistleblowers' trying to take him down?
