I have to vent about how a company is treating us like we are stupid……..and apparently we have been. I wish I knew a law firm that does class-action lawsuits. I just discovered that Comcast(Xfinity) does not have general promotional packages. Each promotion is taylored to your specific address. I'm not talking about city or town or even what street you live on. I'm talking about the SPECIFIC address. What this means is your bill will NEVER go below a certain level, regardless of how much or how little service you have. Each of your next door neighbors will receive totally different promotions, all designed to push for more services AND not allowing to reduce your services as well as your bill.

I was offered a package to reduce the price, by adding phone service to TV and internet. My boyfriend only has TV with less channels and pays the same price as the one I was offered(he used to have internet). The system is gamed to create a price floor you can basically never go below. If you drop the level of service to basically nothing, you may only save $10-20.

How I found this out was I didn't want to give them my social to find out the promotional prices. Ironically, at the end they wanted permission to email or text promotional offers to me. I said I thought you needed my social for that. Five different people can all have the same service and be eligible for only the different promotions they deem you are eligible for. How does a company that is overseen as a public utility get to do this????????????

Bribes, I guess.
