You are so correct. My son became addicted to heroin. We tried so hard to get him to recover. He was a teen at the time. They charged him with a felony and removed him from rehab two times to put him in jail, interrupting his care. He couldn't find work. He eventually gave up and died at 28. They destroyed his spirit completely. He felt he could never rise above it.
