No worries anon. I do work for those orgs only because they’re really the only customers out there.

 

When you’re a cordwainer & and only criminals are buying leather shoes, it limits your clientele.

 

Whole damn tech/entertainment industry seems run by ‘em.

Yep.

 

The tech has changed bit. More data & glass now, but the basic skill set is the same, fortunately.

 

From hemp rope to fiberglass it’s all managing lots of lines in small spaces. It’ll never go wireless at it’s core. Not secure enough.

 

Same in publishing, I imagine. The principals of typography & design still hold true. Nothing like holding a nice print in your hand though.

Of course if I’m going to go to the trouble of storing & transporting heavy books, I damn sure buy the nicest ones I can find.

 

Kind of how not everyone appreciates a well made Colt Single Action, but many do…& those things aren’t cheap! But thise that do will invest in them!
