Yeah, so I see this place being a most excellent test bed for something like an official ".gov"; later on down the road. Citizen-contributed free press, just like the First Amendment intended. News outlets would be forced to weight their coverage against open-sourced media from citizens all over the world. This would bring narratives to a head-to-head comparison. The network that would be willing to play ball in that arena would be the most watched network around, while the others get left in the dust!

What else could a database like that create? Think more positive. As a side note, all my elementary school was "fingerprinted" in 1985. The premise being if children were abducted, they could be identified more easily, and brought back to their parents sooner.
