True, it is normal and natural to desire recognition, but it's also the root of a very vain emotion if you let it take hold in the wrong way.
There are others who have put forth far more than me who will never be known apart from the felt results, and there will be others recognized for far less. I'll be recognized by those I know and interact with on a daily basis - or try to - and that is enough.
