Notably = These new owners re-opened the hotel as the Corinthia in 2011 The same year as "The Arab Spring" & the overthrow of Qaddafi.

Also - (LIA) is still receiving interest off Libyan frozen assets in Belgium. Can't have the principal due to sanctions, but entitled to interest. (LAFICO) is a sub of (LIA), though weirdly, (LAFICO) has a branch in Malta.
