You're aware of the effects because they don't want to lose 2.4g and the bands close to it on WiFi/3g/4g? How is 5g more damaging than 2.4g? I can't see it being anything other than less damaging.

That's a heat map showing the side of your face getting warmer after holding something against it for 15 minutes. If the phone was off while holding it there the heat map would still look like that.

The point is that heat map has nothing to do with radio frequencies and everything to do with holding something, anything to the side of your face increasing surface temperature.

Routers are capable mostly of 1 watt Max power, consider how much energy microwaves use to heat something, in the 100's of watts. Maybe 1 watt focused could cause cancer who knows but it won't heat anything up.

2.4g router, so beam forming could allow this even if you didn't use the router as a pillow. 1watt 2.4g could be pointed at your head 24/7 if someone were to hack your router.
