One comment here about the latest Smollett story that he did it because he was "unhappy with his salary". It just doesn't fit. My intuition says this is not the true reason but one that is a cover for his real reason for activism and to protect others. I sense he acted out of loyalty to someone politically and/or for future career gains/money. I suspect FBI is digging deeper into motive.
