The following is an excerpt from an interview between Chris Ruddy and Col. Stanislav Lunev, a Russian military intelligence officer who defected in 1992. Col. Stanislav Lunev is the highest-ranking military intelligence officer ever to have defected from Russia.

You ask about Yamantau Mountain. Well, this is a huge underground city, which could be used in time when many Russian cities are destroyed, but the military and political elite will survive and live until our planet will try to restore itself.

U.S. law states that the Administration must certify to Congress that any money sent to Russia is used to disarm its nuclear weapons. However, is that the case? If the Russian parliament is complaining of a shortage of funds for nuclear disarmament, then how can Russia afford to build the Yamantau complex?

Could American funds be subsidizing a Russian weapons factory? A "doomsday" shelter? Or possibly something even more sinister?

The Bridge Scandal, Explained

Workers at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey shut down two of three access lanes from Fort Lee, N.J., to the toll plaza of the George Washington Bridge for several days starting on Sept. 9, 2013. They did so on orders from high-ranking officials on the New Jersey side of the agency, which is run jointly by officials from the two states. The backup of cars clogged the streets of Fort Lee, which is on the banks of the Hudson, blocking emergency vehicles as well as commuters and school buses.

Lower-level officials at the authority had warned against it. (“This will not end well,” one later recalled telling superiors.) They were instructed not to tell Fort Lee police officers or public officials. The closings were described as a traffic study, but it was unusual not to give notice, and to do a study with so little advance planning. And it was not the week most people would pick to tinker with traffic on the world’s busiest bridge: It included the first day of school, Yom Kippur and the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, a somber occasion for the region and especially the Port Authority.

Confronted by the tie-ups, Mark Sokolich, the mayor of Fort Lee, called, texted and emailed the authority and the Christie administration to complain, saying that it was a public safety risk and that he believed he was being punished. They ignored his calls.

this also makes me think about Stanislav Lunev and him saying something like small nukes can be used under bridges or whatever..

the article talks about them closing lanes to run a traffic test…but they didn't inform fort lee police officers..
