Lets be honest
i dont know you
and you dont know me
we are anonymous
stripped of race
our sexuality
our gender
our country of origin
our religion
left with nothing tangible
souls
able to present themselves however they feel
and ask whatever we want
some get lost
but some find the truth
and with a little help
some can make a difference
souls alike
some of us
saw something terribly wrong
cursed with knowledge
things we didn't even know were possible
and we can never unsee
and we can never forget
and we WILL never forget
as WE THE PEQPLE
if we put our mind to it
could blot out the sun
hand in hand
together
united under one big blue wonderful sky
able to set our own course
and do something
truly great
