5G has to be released because it's already in the pipeline of most devices. It's been in the pipeline for rollout for at least 3 years on the hardware(mobile) level.
6G likely refers to currently unreleased technology, to me it says the best is yet to come. You can't go straight to 6G because up until DJT won, the plan was to go 5G and likely stay there.
