I think it's a sigil which is a drawing from letters. you can search how they're made…you write you message IE I want to be rich and powerful and rule the world.

You remove all duplicate letters leaving you with t b c h f p. then you make a drawing/symbol from the remaining letters

However you can also encode an entire word..The McDonadl's logo is a sigle as are many company logos. I see several letters straight off in that logo.
