Is this a reason why the Trump WH would get try to push someone out? Or does it merely conform to the prejudices of the elite? They regard it as literally impossible for a true intellectual to support Trump, and so anyone supporting Trump must be a fake intellectual.

In any case, the idea that Anton is an intellectual is "overblown" is utterly absurd, and ANYONE who reads his writings call tell.

Anonymous WH sources put out an OBVIOUSLY FALSE statement as part of the show, and the "elite" laps it up.

It looks to me like the WH pushed completely different FAKE stories to two different conservative leaning outlets regarding Michael Anton's WH departure. I suspect the reporters aren't in on it. But both reporters claim to be doing original research, and both seem to rely entirely on anonymous WH insiders for negative statements on Anton. By contrast, both publish very POSITIVE statements from DJT and Sarah Sander. What is even more crazy is that the anonymous insiders say DIFFERENT THINGS, and they all seem absurd.

Breitbart has the anonymous insiders describe Anton as "Suspect #1" when it comes to leaks, and also as someone who betrayed the MAGA agenda.

By contrast National Interest has anonymous insiders describing him as a "shill" and as being just a speechwriter and not really an intellectual.

HE SOUNDS REALLY BAD! But Trump and Sanders are quoting as PRAISING him in BOTH articles, and DJT has tweeted praise of Anton on 11 Dec 2018 and 11 Feb 2019.
