Watching skies tonight happened to see an R135 tracking east from the mid north west somewhere. Was actually watching unidentified aircraft callsign MUSEL12 over DC ~ interedasting callsigns usually get my attention ~ thinking this was some MUSCLE watching over @POTUS.
First image shows R135 Rivet Joint circled in red was at 12800 ft ~ 542.8 kts is unusual, but watching over the next few minutes was what spiked more attention ~ noticed aircraft was on descent, but the speed was consistent at 542.8 kts.
At 4000ft I was amazed, aircraft still clipping along at 542.8 kts. That's when I noticed country UK Royal Air Force Flag. I got goosebumps ~ if I had almonds, they'd probably be tingling. .
Last image indicates headed for landing with aircraft last beacon signal at 1775ft, but a YUGE 314 kts ~ stopping on a dime for an aircraft like this?
Origin appears to be around Salina KS or Ft Riley Military Reservation. Noticed history for this callsign is couple days back to back in week repeating over last several months. Maybe flies out of Dover AFB day1 to Kansas and then back day 2 ~ just throwing that out here.
