Gay Muslim migrant in blonde wig to represent France in Eurovision Song Contest
Bilal Hassani, a 19-year-old from Paris, recently won France’s selection contest for Eurovision with his song “Roi.”
Hassani was born to a Muslim family of Moroccan origin, is gay and performs in colorful wigs and heavy makeup.
He was well-known in France before the contest as an internet personality and for performing in a song contest for youth when he was 15.
The gender-bending singer,has received hateful messages and threats due to his sexuality and appearance and for his planned trip to Tel Aviv in May.
Israel won the right to host the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest by winning the 2018 edition, with singer Netta Barzilai’s “Toy.”
Hassani described himself as a “huge, huge fan” of Barzilai. His winning song, “Roi,” or “King,” carries a message of self-acceptance and empowerment similar to Barzilai’s “Toy.”
Earlier this year he was forced on the defensive after being accused by online critics of trivialising terrorism and making controversial remarks about Israel while he was in his early teens.
A tweet from August 2014 in which he accused of a “crime against humanity” during a ground offensive in Gaza has been shared online.
In another tweet earlier that year, he appeared to defend controversial comedian Dieudonne M’bala M’bala, a convicted anti-Semite.
Hassani told Le Parisien that at the time of the tweets he was “young and stupid” and that other people might have posted the messages under his name.
A video from 2018 has also surfaced in which Hassani and two friends declare “France suffered a lot, attacks here, attacks there. Oooh!” to hoots of laughter.
A senator from the conservative Republicans party wrote to the Eurovision jury to ask them to withdraw Hassani’s nomination for “trivializing” the series of jihadist attacks that claimed nearly 300 lives in France between 2015 and 2018.
As for the song and performance, it’s lame and boring and Bilal’s voice is mediocre at best. In a normal song contest it would not end up in the top ten, but this is Eurovision and the fact that he’s gay, Muslim and a migrant will most likely generate extra points, so who knows.

Poland in escalated dispute with Israel shortly after anti-Iran event
Poland has harshly responded to remarks by Israeli interim Foreign Minister Israel Katz, who has repeated his earlier comments that Poles “collaborated” with Nazi Germany in the killing of Jews during World War II.
Last week, Israeli interim Foreign Minister Israel Katz claimed that “many” Poles collaborated with the Nazis at the time and “suckled anti-Semitism with their mothers’ milk,” angering the Polish government, which withdrew from a planned meeting in Jerusalem al-Quds in protest.
On Thursday, Katz doubled down on his remarks, saying he did not regret them and that he was telling “the truth.”
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki hit back hard on Friday.
In an interview with the Israeli daily Haaretz, Prime Minister Morawiecki said Katz’ remarks targeted Poles too sweepingly and were “nothing short of racism.”
“We experienced terrible war and decades of occupation, and we were not able to defend ourselves from accusations. But now Poland will no longer give in to a pressure to accept lies, misleading phrases, let alone racist insults,” Morawiecki said.
“We are open to truth, even the most difficult truth about individual collaborators — but we will never agree to stretch their personal responsibility to the whole nation,” he added.
Katz had last week quoted former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir as saying that “the Poles imbibed anti-Semitism with their mothers’ milk,” adding that “many” Poles have “collaborated with the Nazis.”
Morawiecki said, “When I first heard of this, it seemed totally unbelievable. Such words could be used by a radical extremist, but not by a foreign minister.”
“When you use these stereotypes that ‘every Pole suckled anti-Semitism out of their mother’s breast,’ it’s nothing short of racism,” said Morawiecki.
Katz’s earlier remarks prompted Warsaw to cancel participation in a planned summit by a number of Central European countries — known as the Visegrad Group — in Jerusalem al-Quds this week.
The event was effectively scrapped as a result of the Polish withdrawal.

Ben Sasse Calls On DOJ To Prosecute Epstein
Nebraska Republican Sen. Ben Sasse called on the Department of Justice to re-open its non-prosecution agreement with disgraced billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.
A federal judge ruled Thursday that a 2008 agreement between prosecutors and Epstein violated federal law. On Friday, Sasse released a statement calling for the 2008 agreement to be revisited so that the convicted child molester and accused sex trafficker can finally be brought to justice.
“Jeffrey Epstein is a monster and his victims deserve justice,” Sasse began. He continued:
I’m relieved that the court agrees that it was wrong to hide this child rapist’s pathetically soft deal from his victims, in violation of federal law. The fact that it’s taken this long to get this far is heartbreaking and infuriating. The Department of Justice should use this opportunity to reopen its non-prosecution agreement so that Epstein and anyone else who abused these children are held accountable.
Epstein reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors in 2008 to serve 13 months in prison on a work-release program, which U.S. District Judge Kenneth Marra ruled Thursday violated the Crime Victims’ Rights Act by keeping the agreement secret from Epstein’s victims.
“Epstein used paid employees to find and bring minor girls to him,” Marra wrote, according to The Miami Herald. “Epstein worked in concert with others to obtain minors not only for his own sexual gratification, but also for the sexual gratification of others.”
The Justice Department launched an investigation earlier this month into its handling of the Epstein case.
Among the prosecutors whom Judge Marra said violated the law with the agreement was then-U.S. attorney and current Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta. Acosta has come under fire for his role in the plea deal, with some calling for him to be removed from President Trump’s cabinet.
The White House said Friday that they are “looking into” the situation.

Five stabbing attacks in Germany on the same day
Earlier this week five stabbing attacks occurred on the same day in different German cities, with several hospitalised and at least two migrant suspects in connection with the attacks.
The attacks have generated considerable media attention in Germany, where this level of violence once was rare.
The first attack which started with a dispute at a local bar, happened in Cologne at around 4:40 am Sunday. As the dispute became more aggressive, one of the men involved stabbed another man several times, forcing him to require emergency surgery to save his life, German newspaper Bild reports.
Police later said they arrested a 26-year-old in connection with the case and that both of the individuals involved at the time were heavily intoxicated.
In the town of Lingen in Lower Saxony, another attack took place involving a 44-year-old woman who was dragged off her bicycle by two men and injured with a knife. The men soon fled the scene after the woman cried out for help.
Police in the area say they are investigating the attack as a possible attempted homicide but have not been able to identify the two attackers beyond claiming them to be adolescents.
Another woman, an 18-year-old, was attacked in Nuremberg at around 5 am after meeting up with her friends in what is believed to have been a random act of violence. The victim later gave a description to police who soon arrested a 25-year-old Iraqi asylum seeker in connection with the knife attack.
Another man described as having an Arabic background is wanted by police for a stabbing in Mülheim an der Ruhr along with four other suspects. The victim claimed that he had been lured to the site of the stabbing by an acquaintance and was then attacked on arrival.
The suspect in the final knife attack in Frankfurt, a 19-year-old, phoned the police and gave himself up after he is alleged to have been involved, along with seven others, in the stabbing of a 22-year-old who was hospitalised.
The attacks come just two months after three women were stabbed in Nuremberg and just over a month after an Afghan migrant stabbed a pregnant 25-year-old Polish woman killing her unborn child in the process.

Illegal Aliens Arrested in Workplace Raid Sue Fed Agents for Racial Profiling
Represented by an extremist nonprofit that lists conservative organizations on a catalogue of “hate groups,” seven illegal immigrants detained in a workplace raid are suing the federal agents that arrested them, claiming that they were racially profiled for being Latino. In a federal court complaint filed this week by their pro bono attorneys at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the illegal aliens assert that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents violated their Constitutional rights against illegal seizures and to equal protection under the Fourth and Fifth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
The raid occurred last spring at a slaughterhouse and meatpacking plant in a small rural town called Bean Station in east Tennessee. Agents from ICE and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) raided the facility as part of a lengthy investigation into the owner’s multi-million-dollar tax evasion and fraud scheme. About 100 illegal aliens were arrested, most of them from Guatemala and Mexico and some had been previously deported from the U.S. more than once. At least 54 people were deported immediately, some were released and others faced federal or state charges, according to a local news report following the seize.
The owner of the business, James Brantley, eventually pled guilty to multiple federal crimes, including tax fraud, wire fraud, and employment of unauthorized illegal aliens. The feds say he avoided paying nearly $1.3 million in taxes by hiring at least 150 illegal aliens and paying them off the books in cash. The scheme began in 1988 and continued through 2018 when he got busted. Brantley had reported to the IRS that he had only 44 wage-earning employees, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). To avoid Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) tax obligations, unemployment insurance premiums, unemployment tax and workers’ compensation insurance premiums he paid illegal immigrants in cash at a rate of $8-$10 per hour.
The feds said it was a criminal investigation from day one, not simply an immigration enforcement action as many open borders activists alleged. “Tax fraud is an outrage to hard-working Americans directly harmed when criminals cheat their obligation to society by failing to pay their fair share, and the employment of illegal workers also poses a serious threat to public safety as the use of fraudulent identity documents exposes Americans to potential identity theft and other financial harm,” said the special agent from ICE Homeland Security Investigations who led the probe.

U.S. Plans To Deploy Special Forces Troops, Weapons Close To Venezulean Border: Russian Foreign Ministry
A US-insitgated large-scale provocation is expected to take place on the Venezuelan border, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned in a statement.
According to the statement, US plans to deliver humanitarian aid to Venezuela could lead to clashes and would create a convenient pretext for a military action in the country.
“The development of events in Venezuela has come to a critical point, everyone understands this. On 23 February, a dangerous large-scale provocation is set to take place, instigated by the Washington-led crossing of the Venezuelan border with a so-called humanitarian convoy, which may lead to clashes between supporters and opponents, forming a convenient pretext for military action to remove the current legitimate president from government“, Zakharova said.
She added that Russia has info that the US is planning to deploy special forces troops and weapons close to the Venezuelan border.
“We have evidence that US companies and their NATO allies are working on the issue of acquiring a large batch of weapons and ammunition in an Eastern European country for their subsequent transfer to Venezuelan opposition forces”, Zakharova stressed.
She pointed out that there is also a Ukrainian trace in the plan to instigate the conflict.
“There is also a Ukrainian trace in this brazen plan. In particular, it is going to involve the Antonov state company, as far as we understand,” she stressed.

Beware of Using Young People's Blood to Halt Aging, FDA Says
Taking a young person’s plasma and infusing it into an older person to ward off aging – a therapy that’s fascinated some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley – has no proven clinical benefit, the Food and Drug Administration said.
The agency issued a safety alert on Tuesday about the infusion of plasma from young donors for the prevention of conditions such as aging or memory loss, or for the treatment of such conditions as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease or post‐traumatic stress disorder.
“There is no proven clinical benefit of infusion of plasma from young donors to cure, mitigate, treat or prevent these conditions, and there are risks associated with the use of any plasma product,” the FDA said in a statement from Commissioner Scott Gottlieb and Peter Marks, head of the agency’s biologics center.
The idea of infusing young blood to fight aging has attracted technology entrepreneurs like billionaire Peter Thiel and was lampooned in a 2017 episode of the HBO show “Silicon Valley.” Thiel’s reported interest was sparked by a company called Ambrosia, which has locations in five states across the U.S. and sells one liter of blood plasma from donors between the ages of 16 and 25 for $8,000, according to its website.
Ambrosia’s website was updated Tuesday to say it has “ceased patient treatments” in compliance with the FDA’s advisory.
Gottlieb and Marks said none of the plasma treatments has gone through the rigorous testing required by the agency. Ambrosia says “experiments in mice called parabiosis provided the inspiration to deliver treatments with young plasma.” The FDA approval typically requires human trials before companies can make a specific health claim about a product.
“The reported uses of these products should not be assumed to be safe or effective,” Gottlieb and Marks said. “We strongly discourage consumers from pursing this therapy outside of clinical trials under appropriate institutional review board and regulatory oversight.”
Plasma, the liquid portion of blood, contains proteins to help the blood clot. Plasma infusion is an approved use by the FDA in trauma settings or in patients whose blood doesn’t coagulate. But, the FDA says, there are risks, including allergic reactions, circulatory overload, lung injury and infectious disease transmission.
“We’re concerned that some patients are being preyed upon by unscrupulous actors touting treatments of plasma from young donors as cures and remedies,” Gottlieb and Marks said. “Such treatments have no proven clinical benefits for the uses for which these clinics are advertising them, and are potentially harmful.”
