Much of the military is seriously pozzed… Sorry to say it but its true. Not everyone not all the time but they SAY integrity first but very few practice it in reality. I saw the exact same thing happen in ROTC. A guy tells the truth about former drug use and is cast aside… other cadets lie their asses off and smoke weed every weekend… They promote. Same game on active duty… Officers doing DESPICABLE acts regularly… TOP THIRD. OGV. etc. Dude tows the line, never cheats on monthly qualification tests. and always is truthful and honest… dead last…
You would be an EXCELLENT Marine from what I saw in this post. That said the Marines may or may NOT end up being excellent to YOU. It really depends. In my experience telling the truth always in the military is often a colossal weakness that will be exploited by those around you.
It happened to me and I lost my career at the very end and ended up homeless and destitute for telling the truth and not being a scumbag. I am still homeless years later with no end in sight. I am fortunately not under-the-freeway-overpass homeless but I live in fear every single day that my illegal cabin will be discovered by the government and I will be fined out of my home. I am the "Allodial Title" guy by the way…

I hope I am wrong as fuck in my above statement. I hope things have changed but I doubt it. Not enough time has passed. Just reading your statements tells me that you are the best of the best.
DO NOT LET THIS THING STOP YOU IN LIFE. You got the brass ring right now. Find another road. I try to find a way to do that every day and have never really figured it out. Being a truthful and pure soul is a wonderful thing. Don't waste it. Don't squander it. I have done more good since leaving the military that I EVER EVER DID when I was in the military.
