Still reading up on the Titanic here. One of the characters of the film was based on Margaret Brown. Brown was an attendant of John Jacob Astor IV, who was returning from his honeymoon in Egypt, when the ship had sunk.

She had urged crew on Lifeboat No. 6 to search for survivors, no doubt hoping/expecting to find Astor, and his newlywed bride.
