LAW FAGS OPINION NEEDED - MEDIA AN BROADCAST SPECIALISTS

Is Twitter under any obligation or regulation related to broadcast laws, specifically related to political content, or the spread of politically motivated content, especially content that is specifically designed to cause social upheaval or discontent?
If a party (@EdKrassen @krassenstein ) that knowingly spreads false information at the request of their clients (who is paying them), liable for damages?
Would such a party (@EdKrassen @krassenstein ) be obligated to register as a political promotional agency, or is there some type of regulation?
Basically what I am getting at, is Twitter liable for spreading fake news under any laws or regulations. They are in a unique position, Broadcast TV stations must pay a fine and retract stories, publicly, does Twitter have to do anything like that?
Could a party like (@EdKrassen @krassenstein ) be forced to show who is funding them, as they have clearly stated their purpose is to cause social upheaval?
