The most perplexing thing to me is how the left used to sit up in the seats when you began telling them about the history of the CIA, the corruption of the financial elite, endless wars, and a reckless foreign policy. These issues defined many people (though not all) on the left for decades. Now, the left has become the most ardent supporters of those figureheads who would represent that entire culture of corruption, but they can't see it, because they are more focused on "racism." And I'm not talking about millennials…people my age (gen-xers) who should know better than to be defending commentary from assholes like John Brennan.
