Where are you (on the map)? Take a bearing on two (or three) markers in the field which are also on the map. Orientate on the map, draw bearings, intersection is your position. Use same method to find position of a destination in the field.
Choose markers or take given markers. Sequence is significant to comms. Time stamp(s) and order (is) critical. Hours, minutes, seconds on clock can be related to 360 degrees of a Compass Rose.
