This may be obvious to the planefags but I’ve got a few questions…

  1. Does every non-military plane have to file a flight plan?

  2. If there are exception (I’m sure there are), what are they?

  3. Are plane/pilot log books required to be available for public records/reviews?

  4. Are airports required to document planes requesting, landing and using their facilities? Would these be dated?

If yes to these:

1) Would LL and WJC have to file flight plans?

2) Would their pilot log books be on the public record?

3) Would the airport have a record of the LL / WJC requests?
