Not in the Administration, but Oilprice.com reported the US NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) had not granted Russia licesnces to export uranium from the US
Apparently Senator John Barrasso (R-WY, where most of U1 is) tried to warn Obama that the Russians did not have or request the correct licenses but that uranium had been shipped to Canada. He said he was ignored.
President Obama probably had some idea what was going on with Uranium 1
