Plane was shot down. Over the least populated area possible.
It was a math equation.
Many mistakes were made pre and post 9/11, this was not one of them.
Catastrophic and tragic as Flight 93’s end was, it was the correct action.
I do not envy the men and women who had to make and carry out that decision.
So much pain and suffering that day, ending it with the hope and strength of the American Spirit, as well as the loved ones of Flight 93’s victims veiwing them dying as heroes is not wrong. I did not say,as I don’t know, that they did not try to rush the cabin.
God rest their souls and may something like this never happen again.
Sometimes (emphasis) we may in fact be lied to for our own good and the protection of the ones forced to make these tough calls as well as their families.
