Police in Australia carry guns, yes but God forbid they actually discharge that firearm. They would be dragged over the coals & suspended until a Royal Commission into their conduct was held. Firearms are for optics only here, & every knows & exploits that.
It's ingrained in them (Police) not to uphold the law but the only peace (to the best of their incapable abilities), with as little confrontation as possible.
This is certainly not the first incidence of a coppers having their noggin slammed into the ground.
