Red Flag Rules Spark 2A Revolution?
The Democrat majorities may push gun control bills through legislature, but a growing number of counties aren’t standing for it.

Washington, by all accounts, is a bastion of leftist politics and policies. All except for the small town of Republic, near the Canadian border. The state recently passed sweeping and restrictive firearms legislation, but Republic Mayor Elbert Koontz has declared his city to be a gun sanctuary. “Everybody in Republic has a gun. We don’t have a giant crime rate because nobody in their right mind would come to a house where people have guns and know how to use them.”
His police chief, Loren Culp, agreed, “I felt it was such a blatant disregard for constitutional rights that I felt like I had no choice but to stand up for the people that I served, and that’s the citizens of Republic.”
Similar hold out counties and municipalities are sprinkled throughout the country, but two states are leading the nation in taking back control — Illinois and New Mexico. At least 39 out of 102 counties in liberal-controlled Illinois have passed Second Amendment resolutions — a warning to the state lawmakers continually attempting to infringe on the right to bear arms.
The state of New Mexico is also under the control of a Democrat super majority. But after the swearing in of the latest Swamp controlled politician, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, and the immediate and readied punitive proposed legislation on her “rocket docket” was the “shot heard round the world” in the Land of Enchantment. In six short weeks, thousands of New Mexican patriots organized and began the process of passing Second Amendment Resolutions at the county level – all but three at last count.
