Reminds me of when bigcompany hired a youngish professor from a nearby university into a technical department where I worked. He got a middle-ish title and salary, appropriate for someone with zero track record and maybe a record of some academic papers that suggested he might have something to contribute.

Within a week he was complaining "Why don't I get nice wooden furniture and a corner office like so-and-so?" (He had the same standard issue furniture and standard size office with a door that everybody at bigcompany of his rank got.)

He bitched and whined, and just did not understand that in the real world, what have you done lately and what did you actually contribute to the bottom line of the company are what matter. He wanted to be high on the hierarchy and be automatically entitled to perks that only come with sustained high level contributions and successes.

After about 2 months he quit bigcompany and went back to biguniversity.

>>5364854 Worked for a guy once who was low IQ, but had the position. He concentrated on getting sex by throwing his weight around. Was once with him in a public place and he actually STRUTTED up to the female clerk, puffed out his chest and said, "I'm XXXXXX, BLAH POSITION at BLAH COMPANY."
