I'm from Ontario, Canada. Feminazis have rigged child protections regs so that fathers not moving out and surrendering child custody and child support $$$ is "child abuse." Done as means to maliciously interfere in divorce custody, make sure mother 'wins' custody, even if she is a child abuser.
If mother or father (or both) have some degree of personality disorder, reason or religion won't help, alas. We were a moderate Catholic family at the time.
