Been thinking about this same thing for some time.
I've been working on a notables scraper for a couple days but got sidetracked because my site was being attacked. I think I've got it sorted out to where I can reliably scrape notables and compile them into large lists.
I need to continue to work thru some of the details but I'm sure I can get something together on this.
How to format the notables is one of the issues I've been working thru. I can easily format everything out to where it appears as a single 'notables' bread with the post. I can configure it to scrape images as well.
I was leaning more towards a drudge type idea initially where it was just links and a description - but just presenting everything in simple post format can be achieved virtually immediately. I just finished off the scraper this weekend and was going to start work on how to present it this week.
I'm wary of the paytriot label. I too finance everything 100% and so far have managed to do so with no issue. The latest attack does have me a little concerned. Fending off a large scale attack takes resources. I'm not in this for $$ or glory. I'm a patriot - just trying to contribute where I can.
