WRT US citizenship acquisition laws in effect in 1962 and birth outside US; If only one parent was US citizen they must have lived in US 5 years after age of 14 for their child to acquire US citizenship.

 

This was the law in effect from 1952-1986. In1 986 residency requirement changed to 2 years after age of 14.

 

Looks to me like If was O not born in US and father was BO Sr., no US citizenship acquisition because mother was too young.

 

US citizenship alone not sufficient in all cases.

 

US soil birth documentation essential in this case. Also may be what all the fuss is about.
