You idiots…
This was a morbid joke someone made a long time ago when discussing children who insist they'll do something irrational when not getting their way or getting enough attention. Shaming those kinds of people is the right thing to do. No, not because I'm some insensitive asshole, but because shaming is a very valid and practical social technique designed to correct deviant behavior.
The reason such deviant behavior is unacceptable is quite clear: we don't want everyone making light of someone killing themselves.
As you know, a better chess player would get ahead of something like this and agree and amplify - insisting that they ought to do it and showing them an easier way to get to the desired result.
Yes, this tactic is morbid and dirty. There's no reason to get all upset over it though and freak out. The kid that made that joke is probably some unknowing young dick who didn't anticipate some other kid's mother taking it seriously.
I know, I know, some of you are pretty new to this whole internet thing. Trust a no-one like me, though, this is an old joke that shouldn't be taken as honest advice.
