Former Campaign Staffer Claims in Lawsuit Trump Kissed Her Without Consent – White House Responds

Here we go — the Trump Russia canard is crumbling so the media has drummed up another fake scandal to harass President Trump.

Alva Johnson, 43, a former staffer to Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign claims he kissed her without consent at a small gathering just before a Florida rally, an encounter she says still haunts her and causes her anguish.

And she wants money!

The Washington Post reported:

In interviews with The Washington Post, and in the lawsuit, Alva Johnson said Trump grabbed her hand and leaned in to kiss her on the lips as he exited an RV outside the rally in Tampa on Aug. 24, 2016. Johnson said she turned her head and the unwanted kiss landed on the side of her mouth, which she called “super-creepy and inappropriate.”

“I immediately felt violated because I wasn’t expecting it or wanting it,” she said. “I can still see his lips coming straight for my face.”

Johnson said she told her boyfriend, mother and stepfather about the incident later that day, an account all three confirmed to The Post. Two months later, Johnson consulted a Florida attorney about the unwanted kiss; he gave The Post text messages showing that he considered her “credible” but did not take her case for business reasons. The attorney gave Johnson the name of a therapist, whose notes, which The Post reviewed, reference an unspecified event during the campaign that had left her distraught.

The White House responded to the allegations.

In a statement, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders dismissed Johnson’s allegation as “absurd on its face.”

“This never happened and is directly contradicted by multiple highly credible eye witness accounts,” she wrote.

Two people Ms. Johnson alleges to have witnessed the encounter, a campaign staffer and then-Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi both denied seeing the kiss, in an interview with the Washington Post.

Alva Johnson is seeking unspecified damages for emotional pain and suffering and claims she just can’t move on with her life because she is so distraught.

“I’ve tried to let it go,” Alva Johnson said, beginning to cry. “You want to move on with your life. I don’t sleep. I wake up at 4 in the morning looking at the news. I feel guilty. The only thing I did was show up for work one day.”

According to The Post, Alva Johnson moved to seal a years-old court case in which two family members had sought a restraining order against her shortly after she began lawyer shopping for this suit against Donald Trump.

Alva Johnson said she’s a registered Democrat who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and in 2012 — but became interested in the Trump campaign because of a politically active Republican family member.

IDF Launches Surprise Military Drill Simulating War In Gaza

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a three-day war drill along the Gaza Strip border simulating various military maneuver, including a full-blown war with terrorist organizations in the coastal enclave, the IDF said in a statement Sunday.

The field training exercise, which will measure the operational readiness of IDF soldiers for various combat scenarios “especially in the Gaza Strip,” will include infantry units, artillery, armored personnel carriers, main battle tanks, and aircraft, the statement read.

The exercise will also include armored personnel carriers and helicopters moving large numbers of troops to different regions, live-fire exercises, and aerial bombing raids.

Though a surprise announcement, the IDF said the drill had been planned for some time as part of its regular training schedule.

“We emphasize that the exercise was planned as part of the training program and is intended to maintain the readiness and readiness of the forces,” the IDF statement said.

The drill comes amid an increase of nighttime riots at the Gaza border fence, which includes throwing explosives over the barrier and the return of airborne arson attacks directed at Israel.

The Jerusalem Post said Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi attended a meeting with senior officers at IDF Southern Command. Military leaders agreed on a new operational plan in the event of war, including the formation of a centralized administrative unit that would prepare a list of potential targets in Gaza for special forces.

US issues fresh Venezuela-related sanctions after VP Pence affirms Washington’s support for Guaido

The US has announced a fresh round of Venezuela-related penalties, adding four new individuals to a list of people already subject to Washington’s hit-list of restrictions.

Former Venezuelan vice president Ramon Carrizales and former minister of defense Jorge Garcia Carneiro have both been added to the list, along with Socialist Party politicians Rafael Lacava and Omar Prieto.

The new sanctions come as relations between Washington and Caracas continue to deteriorate over the US’ decision to recognize opposition leader Juan Guaido as interim president of Venezuela, and repeated calls by top American officials for current President Nicolas Maduro to step down.

The new deterrents were announced by the Department of the Treasury as US Vice President Mike Pence attended a meeting of the regional Lima Group of nations in Colombia, where he is expected to announce further punitive measures against Maduro’s government on Monday.

Pence told Guaido at the summit that the US is behind him “100 percent.” Hours earlier, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza blasted US actions on Monday and blamed his country’s economic problems on the US financial blockade and economic warfare. Maduro has repeatedly accused America of trying to foment a coup against him.

Pence also announced other restrictions: “As of today the US will impose additional new sanctions on regimes officials, including three border state governors linked to the weekend violence,” he said. Top Venezuelan figures already under US restrictions include Vice President Delcy Rodrigues, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez, and Maduro's wife Cilia Adela Flores de Maduro.

Independent journalists who have traveled to Venezuela have reported less chaos than has been depicted by Western media — and many have argued that it is US sanctions which are making the economic situation more difficult for ordinary Venezuelans.

Police arrest transgender activist for burning down own home in alleged hate crime hoax

Police arrested a 54-year-old gay rights leader in Michigan for reportedly burning down his own home in August 2017 as a staged hate crime.

The fire killed five pets. No people were injured as a result of the fire.

What are the details?

After an investigation, authorities have accused Nikki Joly — who was once a local newspaper's Citizen of the Year — of setting the blaze that killed several animals in 2017.

Prior to the investigation, the local LGBTQ community celebrated Joly's efforts in helping to erect a community center for gay citizens, spearheading the creation of a gay pride parade, and even pushed for locals laws forbidding discrimination based on sexual orientation.

The incident was initially investigated as a hate crime, as Joly reported receiving threats in the days leading up to the fire.

Joly, a transgender activist in the area, reportedly burned his own residence down as a way to gain publicity and notoriety for his crusade of transgender activism.

Investigators said that Joly purchased $10 worth of gasoline on the day his rental house burned, and traces of gasoline were discovered on the activist's clothing. Gasoline was also discovered inside the home. Joly insisted that he purchased the gas to mow the lawn.

Also, the Metro reported that the loss of Joly's home prompted a $58,000 fundraiser to benefit him and his wife.

What else?

According to the report, Joly neither confirmed nor denied that he set the blaze to his home during an early police interview.

Joly, who appeared in court earlier in February, denied that he deliberately set the fire.

Daniel Barnett, Joly's attorney, said that it just wouldn't make sense for his client to do such a thing.

"He was citizen of the year," Barnett said. "There was plenty of media coverage already before the fire."

US Senator Marco Rubio has posted a picture of the brutal murder of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in a less-than-subtle threat to Venezuela’s Maduro. Twitter blasted Rubio as a manic warmonger… who has extremely poor taste.

The two pictures –one showing Gaddafi while still in power, the other showing the Libyan leader being tortured minutes before his brutal murder– were posted by Sen. Rubio (R-FL) on Twitter without any caption. Yet, given his open calls for an armed insurrection in the Latin American country to depose President Nicolas Maduro, the message was clear.
