PayPal CEO Admits Partnership with Far-Left SPLC to Blacklist Conservatives

PayPal CEO Dan Schulman admitted during an interview with the Wall Street Journal that PayPal works with the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) when it considers blacklisting conservatives.

After being asked by the Wall Street Journal what “values” PayPal identifies with,” Schulman replied, “Probably the most important value to us is diversity and inclusion.”

“I think North Carolina was probably the moment that was the most visible, where we basically said this violates our core value and we need to make a very public stand on it,” claimed Schulman, referencing the time when PayPal pulled out of an investment in North Carolina because the state passed a bill making it mandatory for people to use the bathroom of their biological sex.

“Businesses need to be a force for good in those values and issues that they believe in. It shouldn’t come from backlash or people taking heat on it, because then it’s in response, as opposed to the definition of who you are and then how you react to the context that you find yourself in,” the PayPal CEO expressed, adding that the Charlottesville rally in 2017 was a “defining moment” for PayPal to start blacklisting conservatives.

Schulman claimed it “was a defining moment for us as a company,” that was “difficult,” because, “the line between free speech and hate, nobody teaches it to you in college. Nobody’s defined it in the law.”

During the interview, Schulman also admitted that the far-left SPLC helps to inform “PayPal’s decisions.”

“There are those both on the right and left that help us. Southern Poverty Law Center has brought things. We don’t always agree. We have our debates with them. We are very respectful with everyone coming in. We will do the examination carefully,” Schulman explained. “We’ll talk when we don’t agree with a finding: We understand why you think that way, but it still goes into the realm of free speech for us.”

The SPLC, which also reportedly works with Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Twitter, was forced to pay a $3.3 million settlements to anti-extremists activist Maajid Nawaz last year, after the organization included him on a list of “anti-Muslim extremists,” despite Nawaz being Muslim himself.

The lawsuit victory prompted at least 60 other organizations to also consider lawsuits against the SPLC, and in June, a Washington Post columnist declared the SPLC “has lost all credibility.”

PayPal has blacklisted WikiLeaks, Infowars, conservative commentator and Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes, political activist Tommy Robinson, investigative journalist Laura Loomer, blogger Roosh V, free speech social network Gab, YouTube alternative BitChute, and a black metal music label.

Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch, and Pamela Geller’s American Freedom Defense Initiative were also temporarily blacklisted by PayPal, before being reinstated.

Last year, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a liberal nonprofit for the defense of free expression and privacy online, expressed concern over payment processors becoming “de facto internet censors.”

“EFF is deeply concerned that payment processors are making choices about which websites can and can’t accept payments or process donations,” declared an EFF spokesman at the time. “This can have a huge impact on what types of speech are allowed to flourish online.”

“We’ve seen examples — such as when WikiLeaks faced a banking blockade — of payment processors and other financial institutions shutting down the accounts of websites engaged in legal but unpopular speech,” the spokesman continued. “I’m deeply concerned that we’re letting banks and payment processors turn into de facto Internet censors.”

Facebook content reviewers having sex and doing drugs at work, report says

Facebook content reviewers in the U.S. have resorted to extreme measures to cope with the stress of repeatedly viewing graphic and offensive material, according to a new report from The Verge.

In a wide-ranging exploration of working conditions at Facebook’s content moderation facility in Arizona, which is operated by a vendor called Cognizant, The Verge described an office where employees cope with intense stress by using drugs and having sex at work. One employee told The Verge he brought a gun to work because he feared retaliation from former employees.

The moderators are reportedly paid $15 per hour to work through a queue of content that could range from offensive jokes to potential threats to videos depicting murder.

In a statement, a Facebook spokesperson said: “We value the hard work of content reviewers and have certain standards around their well-being and support. We work with only highly reputable global partners that have standards for their workforce, and we jointly enforce these standards with regular touch points to ensure the work environment is safe and supportive, and that the most appropriate resources are in place.” The company later posted a longer blog post about its work with its partners like Cognizant and steps it is taking to ensure a healthy working environment for content reviewers.

According to a statement sent by Facebook, a Cognizant spokesperson said the company has investigated the issues raised by The Verge and “previously taken action where necessary and have steps in place to continue to address these concerns and any others raised by our employees. In addition to offering a comprehensive wellness program at Cognizant, including a safe and supportive work culture, 24×7 phone support and onsite counselor support to employees, Cognizant has partnered with leading HR and Wellness consultants to develop the next generation of wellness practices.” Cognizant did not directly respond to CNBC’s request for comment.

Here Are the Democrat Presidential Candidates Who Just Voted to Block Bill Prohibiting Infanticide

Satan’s party.

Monday evening Senate Democrats once again blocked a measure that would prohibit infanticide.

Senators voted 53-44 on a bill from Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) that would penalize doctors who fail to “exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.

A few weeks ago, Democrats blocked the same legislation and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Monday made the same arguments that the Democrats made last week –this vote is just a part of a pattern for Republicans to misrepresent a bill.

Democrats argued that we already have laws against infanticide in this country.

The Hill reported:

“This vote does not occur in a vacuum. … Pay attention to the facts and not false rhetoric. This bill is Washington politics at its worst,” Schumer said.

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who is Catholic, released a statement after the vote saying he opposed the bill because GOP statements about it are “misleading.”

“Congress reaffirmed that fact with its passage of the bipartisan Born-Alive Infants Protection Act in 2002. I support that law, which is still in effect. There is no need for additional federal legislation on this topic,” Kaine said.

2020 Democrat presidential candidates Senators Kamala Harris (CA), Bernie Sanders (VT), Cory Booker (NJ), Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Amy Klobuchar (MN), and Elizabeth Warren (MA) all voted “NO” on this bill that would have required doctors to provide proper degree of care to babies born alive after attempted abortion.

Ben Sasse tried to pass the bill after Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D) created a firestorm with his endorsement of late-term abortion and infanticide.

“In Virginia, disgraced Governor Ralph Northam tarnished the American idea of equality under law. He betrayed the universal truth of human dignity and he turned the stomaches of civilized people not just in this country but in every country on Earth,” Ben Sasse said.

Democrat Virginia Delegate Kathy Tran recently sponsored a bill that would allow a woman to terminate her pregnancy up to 40 weeks in utero.

When asked if a woman can have an abortion at the time she is in labor and dilating, Kathy Tran responded, “My bill would allow that, yes.”

Ralph Northam, who is now barely hanging onto his Governor’s seat after a photo of him in either blackface or a KKK robe surfaced, sent shock waves across the country a couple weeks ago when he agreed with Kathy Tran’s late-term abortion bill and actually endorsed infanticide.

“So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen…the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,” Northam said.

This means babies could potentially be murdered in the birth canal and if they are born alive — several Democrats RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT support it — truly scary and barbaric.

President Trump blasted the Senate Democrats for their support of infanticide in a pair of tweets Monday night calling their position “shocking.”

Maduro Accuses US of Attempt to Fabricate Crisis Justifying War in South America

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the United States of trying to "fabricate a crisis" to start a war in South America in his first interview with an American broadcaster in years.

"Everything that the United States government has done has been doomed to failure […] They are trying to fabricate a crisis to justify political escalation and military intervention in Venezuela to bring a war to South America", Maduro told ABC News in an interview made in Caracas.

Maduro also slammed the recent Lima Group meeting in Bogota as "part of that politics to attempt to establish a parallel government in Venezuela", stressing that the US "wants Venezuela's oil" and is "willing to go to war for that oil".

The Venezuelan president also told ABC News that US President Donald Trump needs to fix his policy over Venezuela.

"Venezuela has the right to peace, Venezuela has legitimate institutions. I, as President of Venezuela, am prepared for a direct dialogue with your government and with you to look for, like the Americans that we are. We are South Americans, you are North Americans. To look for 21st century solutions not Cold War solutions. The Cold War should stay behind", Maduro said in an interview with ABC News.

FDA Boss to States: Eliminate Vaccine Exemptions, or Else

Unable to convince Americans to fully trust vaccines with endless marketing propaganda and even government mandates, Food and Drug Administration boss Scott Gottlieb (shown) is now threatening to use federal force. Indeed, in bizarre comments made to national media, the senior health bureaucrat threatened that growing nationwide resistance to vaccination mandates may “force the hand of the federal government.” In short, Gottlieb wants to force states to vaccinate children, even if it goes against the religion or conscience of the parents. Critics lambasted the comments and the sentiments as authoritarian and unacceptable.

One obvious problem with Gottlieb’s threats is that the federal government has no power to mandate vaccines or tell states what to do on the issue. In fact, according to the U.S. Constitution’s 10th Amendment, all powers not delegated to the federal government are retained by the states or the people. Of course, vaccine mandates are not listed as a federal power; therefore, as the Supreme Court has recognized, this is a state issue. Another problem for Gottlieb’s agenda is that his own boss, President Donald Trump, has repeatedly suggested that vaccines may not be as safe and effective as Big Pharma and its government cronies want people to think they are.

But none of that appears to have fazed the federal government’s top “food and drug” bureaucrat. Speaking to CNN, a media outlet described by Gottlieb’s boss Trump as “very fake news,” the FDA commissioner tried to make his case for federal intervention. “Some states are engaging in such wide exemptions that they’re creating the opportunity for outbreaks on a scale that is going to have national implications,” he claimed this week, adding that if “states continue down the path that they’re on, I think they’re going to force the hand of the federal health agencies.”

No specifics were provided, with Gottlieb saying only, “You could mandate certain rules about what is and isn’t permissible when it comes to allowing people to have exemptions.” Right now, only three states do not allow non-medical exemptions. But Gottlieb said he is “deeply skeptical” of those exemptions.

Before that, Gottlieb made similar comments to Axios last week, exploiting a handful of measles cases — many of them in vaccinated children, ironically — to push vaccination of children by fiat. “It’s an avoidable tragedy,” Gottlieb told the online news service about measles cases, adding that he is normally a proponent of states rights but not when it comes to informed consent on vaccines. “Too many states have lax laws.” Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has been making similar noise on the issue.
