Some Thoughts on Leftist Politics
To a Leftist, everything is Political.
Politics is War by other means.
All’s fair in love and War (the end justifies the means).
Half-truths and three-quarter lies are more likely to be believed than 100% falsehoods due to the grain of truth that makes them plausible. Although the BIG LIE is still deployed as needed.
The actual truth or falsity of a claim is essentially irrelevant to a leftist, only whether the claim supports their agenda or not is what matters.
The left is not opposed to ALL truth, only that which negates their claims and thus thwarts progress towards their goals. Certain convenient grains of truth are enthusiastically embraced.
If a previously asserted claim is discovered to no longer support the agenda, it can be instantly dropped. Hence the leftists apparent supernatural ability to ‘turn on a dime’ without batting an eyelid and assert the exact opposite of what they previously swore to be the ‘truth’.
The Leftist has no qualms about simultaneously claiming that there is no such thing as ‘truth’ but that everything they just claimed is the literal and absolute truth (at least until they change their mind).
The left knows they are in a political/culture war, because they are the ones who declared it.
The left does not use language to clarify and convey meaning or understanding. They do not accept evidence, reason and logic as the final arbiters in civilised discourse. The left attempts to uses language as a weapon against their foes, rather than as a tool of cognition.
Expecting to have rational discussion with a leftist is problematic for the simple reason that leftists do not function in, nor do they accept or respect the framework of reality which is assumed by their opponents. Their own obvious self-contradictions are intended to cause confusion and frustration. Thus Leftists often make claims that they do not even believe themselves.
Leftists frequently and deliberately use bogus ‘logic’ to cause apoplexy in their interlocutors. Distractions, diversions and disinformation are standard fare. Anything to get truth seekers off the scent.
It should come as no surprise that professional Shills and Sliders (working for the left) deploy such tactics.
The Left has announced loudly and clearly (by word and by deed) that they are acting in bad faith.
Attempting to engage in good faith discourse with someone who has announced their own bad faith is futile and is playing into their hands. Keeping their opponents preoccupied in acts of futility is their aim.
The Left should not be indulged.
