Pinned posted about editing DNS hosts file was missing several 8ch addresses (especially the media.8ch.net) required to make the site work well if having DNS issues. Added several other ip/domain names that other anons may find useful.

indeed. I've also used hosts file to block sites locally i have a long list of ad sites that i block with that method.

Welcome, other can expand the list with what they think is missing as well.

For those wanting to add to the DNS hosts file, you can either use nslookup from the command line on most OSes or use a website like https://network-tools.com/nslookup/ to map domain IP addresses.

Note that doing a reverse search with a domains IP address will usually show all associated domains with that IP.
