Based on the history of the enemy and the arrogance from which it reacts. Is there evidence of self sacrifice for their greater survival?
I.e. the way a lizzard will sacrifice its tail to escape the battle.
If you're observations of the board and Q are as follows:
Enemy collusion against America utilizing information.
There exists no history of this enemy's use of TRUE AND FACTUAL self incriminating information (i.e. sacrifice) on any level, even if to lure thou with false hope…
This enemy's arrogance, however, has historically operated above reproach. "To big to fail" mentality…

As it's most definitely within the realm of possibilities… however, I do believe that 8 yrs of Hussein created such en emboldened unity within… one in such, your valid suggested approach would have been deemed as unwarranted… or unworthy of their time…
